Largo is an older town than it looks from the road. Half of its homes were built in 1978 or earlier. Houses that age wear out in the same spots: sticking doors, cracked drywall, worn floors, tired paint and failing grout. It usually adds up to a list of small jobs rather than one big one.
Flow Home Services is a handyman and remodeling company based in St. Petersburg, and we drive out to Largo. The day to day here is the repair list: doors, drywall patches, trim, paint, tile, mounting and hardware. We also build full bathroom remodels and kitchen remodels in the same houses. Call or text (727) 404-7164, or send photos of the job for a free estimate.

Census figures put about 36 percent of Largo's housing in the 1970s. Another 20 percent went up in the 1980s. Add the 1950s and 1960s and roughly 58 percent of the city was built by 1979.
A house that age has had a few owners and a few rounds of quick fixes. The work it asks for is small and steady. An interior door that never closed right, a back door that swells, popped drywall seams, hairline ceiling cracks. Loose cabinet hardware, a wobbly towel bar, a tile lifting in the hallway.
We take the whole list, top to bottom. It is the same handyman services work we do at home in St. Petersburg. Pre-sale punch lists fit here too.
Sellers and agents getting a Largo house ready ask for the same items. Paint, patching, doors, trim and the small repairs a buyer notices on a showing.
Single family detached houses make up under a third of Largo's housing. About 38 percent of the city's housing units sit in buildings with two or more units. That is the condo and apartment stock. Another 26 percent are manufactured homes.
Condo interiors age the way houses do. The floor covering wears through at the doorways and the bathroom dates itself. We do that interior work in Largo condos: new flooring, drywall patching, paint, doors, trim and tile.
Buildings and communities set their own rules about work hours, elevators and material delivery. Tell us what your association asks for and we talk that through when we look at the job.
The City of Largo says its residents are recovering from two hurricanes. Helene and Milton both hit Pinellas County in 2024. Homes inside a Largo flood hazard area that took damage went into the city's Substantial Damage Inspection and Assessment Process. The city says it mailed all of those notifications in 2025.
Largo's test is the 50 percent rule. If repair costs reach half the building's market value, without the land, the home counts as substantially damaged. It then has to come up to current flood safety standards. Check where your address stands with the city before planning a big remodel.
Permits inside Largo city limits run through the City of Largo's Building Services Division. That division sits under the Community Development Department, and that side of the job stays between you and the city. Our part is the finish work inside.
That means drywall repair and replacement, texture matching, floors, tile, doors, trim and paint. A gutted bathroom gets rebuilt from tear-out to finish.
Bathroom remodeling is our main focus. A full bathroom means tear-out, a waterproofing membrane under the tile, a tile shower and a tiled floor. Then the vanity and cabinets, mirrors and lighting as finish items, trim, doors, drywall and paint.
Our own work includes a shower tiled in large-format marble-look porcelain on the walls and the ceiling. It has a built-in niche and a window inside the shower.
Kitchens follow the same shape inside the existing room. Cabinets, countertop installation, a tile backsplash, new floors, paint, trim and light fixtures as finish items. Older Largo homes and condos often have small galley kitchens, and the work fits that footprint.

Christian has been helping my seller clients prepare their home for resale and for my buyer clients to get the upgrades they desire in an excellent timeframe. I highly recommend Christian and his team and look forward to working with them on future projects. (Before and after photos of rooms Flow Home Services painted for my clients).
Christian and his team did an incredible job at building our backyard shed. This was an involved job that other handymen would not touch. The project consisted of framing, siding, roofing, painting, securing into concrete, etc. his skill and attention to detail was impressive. Christian was very reliable and showed up on time everyday ready to work. In addition, Christian updated us numerous times throughout the day with progress pictures and videos as we were traveling during the holidays. The team cleaned up and we can home to a fully built 10x14 ‘ shed/garage. If you are looking for a reliable, skilled handyman/builder, look no further. We will be using Flow Home Services again soon.
